i have a place i usually go, but it is near my summer home which is about an 1hr away. might have to make the trip down there. will be worth the drive than having to pay for new e-brakes. you don't even have to get out of the truck. takes less than 2 minutes.

My truck failed the e-brake test part of the inspection also, which surprised me because it's only 4 years old. I wonder if they have a recall on this.

No ... it's more common on 4x4's though because the mud will get in between the shoes, dry and keep them from moving. You can usually tear them down and clean them decently and it will hold, but if they are gone all together, there's nothing to clean *KEUKA!*.

Sounds like that place you were talking about s the place to go though ... good luck!

Mine failed the e-brake test on its first inspection after being 2 years old. The shop adjusted it for me retested the brake and gave me a sticker.
