factory radio question

Default factory radio question

I just plugged in the factory radio again and its displaying "LOCKED"
anyone know how to unlock it?

i think you have to take it to the dealership and have it unlock, there is a code you have to put in, and if you dont know it, i think your S.O.L
i may be wrong but i think i remember something about if you unplug the radio you needed to make sure it wasnt in anti theft mode.
i do believe that is what it is doing.

It's the anti-theft feature. It happened to me a few times (I wasn't able to disable it) The dealer did it one time and gave me a few codes for the nexxt time. Well those didn't work. Found a guy that'll pull the codes for you if you have your VIN over at www.chevytalk.org

there was a post like this a year ago. so there is a way to fix it w/o taking it somewhere. i sent directions to someone in the past and i it worked for him. i forgot where i got them from, but i can find it if you still need it

thanks for the replies guys. I called the dealership and told them I replaced my battery and now the radio is locked. They said they can take the lock off for free
