My 05 has an AM/FM stereo. I am contemplating putting in a factory CD player. I have heard about having to get units reprogrammed and what not to fit in other vehicles.
Is this true? What's the real story.

replace that original crap. i still have my stock cd player. it is so crappy it locks up and won't play. gets too hot. almost melts my cd, and sometimes freezes up my entire electrical system. just waiting to get a little extra cash to replace mine.
