Default extended cab or regular

i have an extended cab silverado, the one in my sig, and i hate automatics which of course mine has, i was thinking about getting a regular cab 4.8 5 speed and switching over all of my parts. how much faster will it be than my extended cab with all the same parts? i like having the extra cab room of the extended but i want a manual and something that i can make handle better. any input....

just get a stall, itll make the automatic fun to drive and youd still have lots of cab room.

I would just buy the reg cab, swap in a 6.0 and t56, and then have fun

i dont know, i've never seen an extended cab with a 5 speed, plus the added weight with less torque with the 4.8 would be slow. how much power do you have to be making before you blow the 5 speed, because i know i will blow the 4L60E and that will cost a lot.

You looking at buying a used one? I know when I was looking for an 06 model RCSB 4.8/5 speed, the dealership was only able to pull up one in the country that was for sale. Well, at least one that was a non-work truck version which I absolutely did not want a WT.

Buying a used one might not be that difficult to do, but new nope, I don't even think they are making any manual tranny trucks for 07-up.
