If it did run a 14.4 then that's one hell of a freak. I would ditch the hypertech programmer and get a good custom tune which will make a huge difference especially when you start modding more like cam, lts, etc.... it will be a must if you want to get the full potential out of it.

I am just curious when it ran that 14.4 what was the trap speed?

If it is a reg cab, that time is very possible. I just thought it was an ext cab because of your post. Get the custom tune done and you will like it so much better. It is way better than the hypertech, I had a hypertech and went with a Wheatley tune. They are not comparible, a custom tune will give you better shifts, more power, and better fuel economy.

I think you should run it before the mods for a baseline. Maybe back up the 14.4?

Agreed. I need to hit the track again because my truck has been feeling strong lately, I quess that means something is about to break. I also want to go while I have the seats out putting in new carpet(waiting to go to track to install), and before I put the lower gears in.

mann you guys ain't very Nice pretty much calling my pops a liar.... yes it was a long time ago when he ran those numbers but he has a 5.80 car that he takes to hmp wy would he lie about a 14.4? I tried to get people to help me out n guess my next e.t. and I get bashed on cause the truck ran a 14.4... I will be taking the truck back to the track just because im getting all this negative feedback and now im curious if it will run a 14.4 or anything near that now that I have a 31inch tall tire on 342's compared to the 27inch tall tires I had before.

nobody's going to ban you, not for that Just that one post says you ran 14.1 then you post that you ran 14.4 and then that it wasn't you but was your dad, an ECSB and then a RCSB. Nobody's calling anybody a liar just that your story has changed a few times BUT it would be great if YOU went to the track, ran your times and posted up YOUR time-slip.
The best I could do with full tuning, shorty headers and 32" tires was 15.03 in an ECSB. 14.4 is certainly doable in a RCSB, go back it up. Oh, don't get so buthurt if you are questioned...

what is a 5.80 car...you mean in the 1/4 mile it runs 5.80 seconds....this I NEED to see a picture of!!

Its alright man, we have seen alot of combinations here, and i like to consider myself a rather savvy bench racer. with your current mods 15.0 would be a stout truck. My truck has run a best of 15.4, buzzkillwill ran 15.0 with a custom tune + your mods in good weather.
I would like to hear how yours does, good luck and keep us updated
