I know some of you have already done the conversion, so maybe you can help me out.....
Currently I have the stock 2000 Silverado gauge cluster with the APC white face (red digits). Anyway, I plan on selling my entire cluster (with the white face ofcourse) as a whole, and replacing with a 2002 Escalade Cluster ...
First, I've heard the odometer settings can't be changed by the user (for obvious reasons)....Any ideas on where it can get done? Whats the cost?
Second, I have also heard the tranny temp is already set up in all 99+ models, and its just a simple "plug in" and you're ready to go.....Whats the info on that?
Any and all info is appreciated....thanks guys.....

This mileage and hours have to be swapped over between the two units by a odometer/speedometer shop. I have heard many different prices as to what people charge for this. I believe it is also the law to have a sticker places on the door seal to show that the mileage has been messed with in some way.
You can use the new bezzel without having the mileage swapped and just start back over with 0 miles. However, then a difference in the mileage on the odo and the milage/time that your computer will show for a code can show that you have messed with the mileage to a dealer.
I think I will wait until my warrenty is over and then I will swap out the units....since I dealership will never work on my truck unless its for a warrenty problem.
Plus not switching over the mileage is not too trustworthy.....but I'm not one to judge..... I think its the individuals call on what they should do about it.
