My aftermarket 180 tstat failed shut, so I had overheating problems even with the 34" rad and 05 fans. I took it out and didnt use a tstat for a while and truck ran fine, but put the stock one back in before it got cold outside and everything is peachy now.

It would be best to run a stocker unless you plan on adjusting the tune for lower operating temps.
