I like the performance stuff because its something that people dont expect out of a truck. I like the idea of having a supercharged tahoe with nitrous more than the actual times I will run. I also like the appearance stuff too. I just appreciate modded vehicles and I like being different.

see what i dont understand it people blow alot of money into trucks well maybe not blow but for the money you spend you could go out and buy like a 69 camaro a older muscle car for like i dont knoe 5 grand maybe? then use taht money to build it up and be alot faster then a 4100 Lb truck i mean i know its badass to have a awsome truck but i thik it owuld be smarter to do something like that i mean id love to be able to slap a radix on my truck but i know that as much money as i would sepdn on my truck i have a dragster that runs 8 flat once you go 170 mph thats all i need i wouldn;t ever think about it once to go taht fast in a truck not made to go taht fast id rather put alot of apperance mods on my truck like air bags maybe new rims i mean i have done a bunch of apperance things to my truck and i love it but i dont know maybe im just to young to understand it but as far as i see it keep doing what you like its your life spend the money however you want it.

For me it boils down to, I don't need to go 8s to have fun. Plus you can't drive an 8 or 9 sec car to work everyday and toy with the numerous "street racers" like you can in a sleeper truck or car. Everybody and their grandmother has an 8-10sec Camaro/Chevelle/Mustang/Bel Air/Cougar/Maverick/280Z etc etc etc. Nobody really even takes notice of them anymore IMO. Now 8.0@170mph will get notice but it is gonna take ashit load more money to run that time in just about any car than it will to purchase, modify, and maintain a full size truck that runs high 10s. Any motor capable of 170mph is gonna cost you well over $30k, not to mention $7-10k on Lenco or some other tranny and all the other jun that goes along with running those times

For me, it is a little rush, I like stepping on the gas and being able to go well. I want the power for daily driving, when I want to pass a slow car on a two lane road, I want the power to do it. It has nothing to do with being the fastest thing on the road, I will never have one that is that fast. I don't really street race like some of you, at my age (44) I realize the ramifications of 1) getting caught and 2) killing me or some one else. I guess I've wised up some, it's not worth it!!!! I like to make my truck a combination of some show and some go. It' not REAL flashy or REAL fast but is does look good and passengers of mine are surprised about how quick it is for a "big truck". I've always done intake and exhaust mods to most vehicles I've driven and probably always will. I've already done two of the three mods I want to do on my Ram, next will be a tune or tuner of some kind when someone makes one. If I had money to spare, I would do a supercharger too. It would make the truck decently faster but also reliable for a daily driver.

For me it's dependibility first ,driveability,TQ,HP,and fuel mileage wrapped in a daily work driver that is versital.I have all that in this PKG. I have been running for quite some time.11s someday but it will be in a c5 or fbody. No plans of replacing my truck until GM comes out with a new truck design. That maybe awhile.

Y2K hit it for me. I love the ability to cut off some jerk from passing me on the freeway. I rarely set out to street race and only make it to the track a couple times a year. I built this truck to be near stock sounding and feeling with the power on tap as I need it. I'm pretty pleased with the results so far, but I'm like lots of guys.... never quite enough power.

As corny as it sounds, I agree with the quote on Fast and the Furious; "For those 9sec or less(more for us), I'm free." For me it's a great way to keep myself busy and my mind off of life's problems. It's one of the greatest releases I have.

Making my truck look better does nothing for me. It doesn't improve the way my truck performs, it just makes me not want to drive it for fear of damaging it or getting it stolen. It's just not for me, that's my opinion though.

I've asked myself this time and time again. There's definately better ways to spend the money, and even better yet to save it, but I enjoy working on the truck even though happens. I achieve a bit of personnal pride that I can pretty much do it all myself. Having a vehcle that IMO is a notch above everyone else makes the daily commute so much more bearable eventhough I'll never really have the chance to street race it since it's nothing but traffic, red lights, and cops around here, but that's what the track is for.

i just like doing the stuff to my truck and i enjoy having a little more power than most any other truck that i see on a daily basis. i live in a relatively small town and most of the new truck purchases here are going to the hemi. i just like making the new proud owner say damn, i should have gotten the chevy, after i beat them.
