see chingay, you choose to ***** up people's threads like you have done this one, rather than stay on topic and take your nonsense to pm or email. what a waste.

Hey ***, the guy isn't a mongoloid like you, he can see the overwhelming majority of people say go 6.0, but of course there's always that one dumbass (YOU) who has to start ****...so I'm ending it.
The man got answers...so it doesn't matter if I "*****" it up...like you didn't help

true, but they are talking about cost relation to a stock LQ9 and the purchase of a LQ4 and what money you'd have left over to make up that 45hp difference

Stock for Stock, I would go with the LQ4. Its lower compression makes it a better motor to build on IMO. If you had any thoughts of going FI then the lower compression motor is the way to go. And like Pewter03GMC said, you can make up the 45 hp diff easy!

There you have it.....Did not know you were blown! LQ4 hands down.

what kinda gas mileage could a person expect out of a 6.0? I'm gettin' 16-17.5mpg right now with my tiny 4.8. I too am looking to do "the swap", and was just wondering.

ok, since all of you have built so many motors lets list the prices for building something like i'm talking about. $279 for crower 6.125" rods, ~$600 for pistons, ~$250 for machine work.
600
279
+ 250
------
$1,129
that's well worth it to me to not be blowing up **** all the time. ANYONE who is really serious about this ****, and knows the first thing about it will want to forge a motor for more strength rather than install a stock motor that's just going to blow down the road again at a lower power level. it's in the eye of the beholder though.
