Default Engine Cover Question

I was thinking about where I could get some more power. Do you fellers think the engine cover will hold heat on the intake manifold and increase the air temp?

just a thought.

I don't think removing a plastic cover will increase your power. You need MORE airflow.

I wouldn't be concerned about the engine cover, I'm sure that whatever little bit of heat that it may retain is too minimal to make a difference.

My thinking was, that if the engine cover was holding heat at the intake manifold, thus heating the air inside the intake. That would most likely rob horsepower. I'll remove it just for $hits and giggles. I have to fab 2 new ubolts for my traction bars tonight as well. going to install the spring clamps and traction bars at the same time. Going for the N/A 12's again this Friday, if it doesn't rain

Yes it will work, and while you're at it remove your air intake and exhaust starting with the manifolds so there is no restriction. Oh and remove your hood too. That damn thing traps heat so bad.
