Default Electrical Gremlin

I've searched and can't find the same problem.

2003 SS, only mods are radix & e-fans with a nelson harness.

when the truck is running/driving and it seems when the a/c compressor kicks on in either defrost or a/c the truck shuts down completely electrically. It only lasts about a second and then everything comes back on. Everything resets except the Driver Info Center and the radio stations. Last time it happened the DIC showed check brake booster???

Also now it is having starting problems. acts like the battery is dead and won't crank. then it will all of the sudden crank. Don't know if that's related or not.

Any Ideas??? I'm lost.

sounds like your alterator is about to take a on you, I'd go get it checked at an autoparts store for free.

Almost sounds like a bad relay in your fan harness. The A/C is used to switch one fan on when it kicks on. There is probably a high load for a second and you may need higher capacity relays. Not positive on this but something to check and eliminate. Good luck getting it figured out.

corroded battery terminals!! take them loose and remove the covers. clean em up and that should solve the problem.

all of the above is very probable causes, regardless - it is related to the electric fans, as a temporary fix you can remove them and go back to a clutch fan to keep the truck drivable.

Looks like it was the battery crapping out on me. Swapped it out with another and everything is back to normal.

Thanks for the help.
