Default Electric Window Motor?

I think I need to replace my pass side window motor. For the past few months my window has been getting slower and slower. A few days ago it stoped shy of up so I had to help it up. I took the door apart today to grease the tracks/cables with no positive results. After a few moving the window up and down about 8 times the motor clicked and would not go up or down. I felt it and it was hot enough to cook and egg so I let it cool off and continued to put more grease on the tracks. As it cooled it started working again but still really slow going up. Has anyone else had to replace this motor? Cost? P/N? I am thinking it is not going to be cheap so I may check out the local salvage yards.

When I replaced my drivers side I got bent for $220 or so! Hopefully you can just replace the motor...but knowing GM you may by SOL.

Good luck

Take some white grease and lube that ***** up! My ones in the Z were acting up slowing down about half way up. I lubed them up this afternoon and they work much better. Do this before you motors take a crap.

Should take you about 1 hour for both doors

also do take some silicon lube and spray it the tracks on the out side with the window down. the weather stripping were the edge of the window slides. i did this and greased the tracks. i think the silicone helped the best. they hauled *** afterwards but are getting slow again like 7 months later. try not to get it on the window i could not get it off.

try that though good luck
