Default EGR question

Hi all, I am having my pcm tuned by wait4me till I get my own tuning program, and was curious about something. I have a 99 pickup, but the PCM I ended up sending him was a 2001. Do the 2001 trucks have egr? If not, then I can just remove it from my truck and block off the ports, right! Thanks!!

If you do remove it you need to let your tuner know so he can make sure it's disabled

01's have the egr... have him delete it... you will need to get a block off plate for the headers and than take that entire egr assembly off and block off the hole at the intake manifold with this part number (12558346) from gmpartsdirect.com

Well, the part number for the 99/00 PCM's are different from the 01/02 pcms. The 01/02 Pcms carry the same part number, so I figured they changed in 01.....correct me if I'm wrong??
