Sounds like a good running truck but to me it seems to be a bit of a freak like TXSilverados truck running 13.8 with a stock cam and a tb stall in less than ideal weather. Most trucks IMo wont benefit from the same setup as far cam to stall speed ratio. If it was cutting 2.0 60s then its pulling out of the hole well. I was putting down 1.9s on a 100 shot with a TCI 3K intake exhaust and tune.

I dont know, but many others including myself have experiences to the contrary of what ya'll are saying so it must be something truck specific.

i have 130K on my engine... i have always run good oil so i never stress trying to get more power out of it. maybe thats what we should be trying to do. see who can get the most power out of the high mileage blocks

sometimes a motor just runs better than most. my dad had an 89 eslb 5.7silverado bone stock that would get 25mpg, and would haul some ***. that was at 160,000 miles

My motor had 140K on it when it got sprayed then 178K on it when it got cammed then I pulled it at 180K. Never got it to the track on the spray and cam with lt headers and 3400 stall Would have been a solid LOW 13 high 12 truck

My point exactly like bone stock LS1 t/as and camaros running honest 12.7s, they are a freak no other excuse or tricks.
