e-brake stuck
#1
my passenger side e-brake is engaged, but not the driver's side. i do live up in snow country so maybe there might be some corrosion somewhere.
any ideas? you can see the spring is still compressed at the rear wheel

I have the same problem. I was told I need new cables, but instead I took a hammer and long flat screwdriver and manually decompressed the springs.
I noticed your name keukaz71. Do you live on keuka?

Yeah, I'm on keuka in the summer also. About a half mile away from the Viking towards penn yan.
When I have to hit it back, it just takes a couple swings on the hammer and it goes right back to decompressed. Maybe yours will need a little more persuasion. Did you have to take yours for the recall on the ebrake? After they did that, they must have left it partially compressed and my stock centercap melted off it got so hot. Good luck with it.
