Default DUBZ or PERFORMANCE?

I really got it on my mind to go out and grab a set of 20's for my truck right now I can get a set and probably tires for about a grand ,but there is always the performance side. Right now I have cold air, nelson tune, and flows. My gears are 3.42 peg leg but spinning really isn't a problem at the moment with the fiberglass bedcover. The rims I have picked out are the stingray III's and a friend has some stock dodge tires that I can pick up cheap. So help me out .

If you are like me then nothing will satisfy you more than going fast. Ive tried the car stereo side of it, the looks (was about to buy some rims) but ultimately decided on going fast. When everything is said and done you will be happy when you pull up and smoke someone that doesnt even know it is coming.. Trucks arent meant to be fast are they?!?

The stock Dodge tires (Goodyear 275/55/20) are way too tall for a 2wd truck. It will kill your performance by about a half of a second in the quarter. If you are going to run 20's, I'd go with something like a 275/45/20 or a 255/40/20 or something like that. Its not just the weight of the 20's but also the height. A tire as tall as the 275/55/20 is almost 32" tall, where as the 275/45/20 is 29.7". The 255/40/20 is only 28" tall, and will look a little short on a stock height truck, but would be the ideal size for performance from a "gear ratio" stand point. Don't run the 275/55/20's, you'll be sorry.

If you plan on keeping your truck for a while, you could do both. I usually get a new car every year or so, but decided to keep this one and do whatever I wanted to it. I went with a blower for the cool factor, but you could do a cam, converter, headers, and nitrous, and have a pretty sick truck

3000 stall converter. Get a Yank or PI or TCI.

Go performance brotha! Hey, pm me with your info incase I get off of work long enough to send out these springs. I've been in meetings every day this week, and I'm really hoping for a break. I'll let you know the shipping price when I send them out. Shouldn't be too much.

I'd get the 20s first.

I got some 18's for sale. I have a 3:42 gear and the 295/45 is about 28" tall.
