2000 gmc sierra was a v6 swapped a 5.3 it was a flood truck had the whole interior out pressure washed cleaned.drive that fir 3 months then did a 220/224 575 cam from star performance lasted 5 days blew up at the track.So now a buddy in a local truck club that I hang out with hooked me up with a 4.8 to get me around till I get a better motor.so now I'm gonna build a iron l33 with said cam and packing 1218s.the 4.8 runs good but lacks torque lol I'm only on a tb verter so it's depressing from a dead stop.I could only get a 14.8 out of it at the track 2 weeks ago

 

14.8 is pretty good, your other truck at the start of this thread only went 15.75

 

Yea I thought I'd be happy with a 14 sec truck but I'm not now I want a 13 second truck.It's a vicious cycle haha, my 5.3 before cam went 14.4 in the heat of the summer before i did the cam just headers and nelson tune

 

14.4 is pretty damn good for a headers and tune only 5.3L. My old truck with an LQ4/80E, baby cam, and 87 octane tune only went 14.3 @ 98 in perfect conditions. No wonder everyone here said it was slow. lol

 

Dammit yea maybe the 80e deluded your over all turnout but yea still good IROC like the name BTW my first car was a 89 IROC burnt orange 350 tpi auto and I went to hs during the 1st fnf Era so everyone had Hondas lol

I doubt he ever comes to FL. Hoping that the local guy can get it right. Are you tuned for 93 or 87? My old truck and current truck aren't the lightest, nearly 4700 with me. (I am 165-170) How heavy is the new truck you have?

My username was my HS car, 350 swapped. TPI car, stall + cam and bolt ons. Consistently ran 13.00s in the mid 90s. I had a lot of fun with that car.
