Yeah that's not a bad weight, my 06 sierra RCLB with crank windows, manual locks with carpet floors (I was lucky there lol) was like 4500-4600lbs with me in it and almost no fuel. But I'm all of 135-140lbs on a good day haha.

Re-gear that truck with some 3.90's or 4.10's and it'll be even better.

O yea I wanna find a rearend ready for my truck with 410 gears from the factory ready to go because the cost of gears plus the I stall kit and labor lol but I wanna do it would going from 3.42 to 3.73 make a difference or just go for the 4.10 rear?

3.73s will be a little better than 3.42s. Just look for a Z71 in the junk yard and check the RPO codes, you want a "GT5" optioned truck rear. I got a kit for my truck from Quick Performance, Yukon posi, bearings and seals, 4.10 gears - just over $500. I'm going to install it all myself, I've done it a time or three.

I have a little advantage on weight, I'm only 175 lbs. But my truck is portly.

Lol portly, there's a rearend from a nbs on craigslist 410 gears but it's a 14 bolt 8 lug is that gonna be over kill or slow me down I wouldn't mind running a 6 8 set up lol but if the weight is gonna be too much forget that

It will take a little more power to turn, but nothing brutal like 15+ HP. It will add some weight though. I've read that certain vans had the same length axles, but six lug. You can steal the axles out of one, or buy cheap stock replacements and easily keep it all six lug. But, I don't have any problems finding GT5 optioned 10 bolts around here. They're usually in extended cab Z71s when I find them.

My old truck that was totalled was just as heavy as the current one, but had a 5.3 & a G80 with 3.73s. Bone stock with heavy 18" wheels it went 15.60 @ 86.81 MPH. (2.31 sixty foot I believe) LQ4/80E swap with a tune and baby cam went 14.3 @ 98. I'm hoping that same engine and transmission in this truck with a few changes is good for mid 13s @ 100+.

Wow! That is great man, congrats!

You've given me hope for my truck! It went 16.3 with Airaid MIT, Magnaflow muffler, and an AEM drop in filter. I've got my tune in now and hope to get my headers and Y pipe installed eventually (lol!).

Based on his recent posts, don't think that he even has the same truck anymore.
