I'm the same way as 8.... I run the **** outta my truck usually. although its not near as fast. I broke it back in early July and am just now getting it put back together but when it goes back this time it will be faster AND more fun to drive than before.... I intend on running the hell out of it again daily.

So if I do these mods to my LQ9 6.0L: Radix, 3.0" pulley, Dynatech LT's, Snow kit, 2600 PI stall, Comp 220/570/570/115 lsa, & Nelson dyno tuned.
What kind of mileage can I expect under normal driving conditions?
I also have the 3.73 gears and factory 20's.
I drive mostly 68-70mph on normal to & from work.
I currently get an average of 16mpg with factory tune. When I was tuned by Allen, it upped that to an average of 17-18 mpg. I've been without his tune for 5 months now.

Anyone??

I too understand. I have a 84 Mustang convert that runs 12.9 @109 and I drive like a grandma on the street, top down enjoying the ride. I get in my wifes YD and go 80 everywhere.

I'm withyou guys, I use to have an 05 GMC 5.3 mod'd with bolt on's and thought I had something to prove to other trucks and cars. So I too use to drive around like a mad man, and broke it. Ever since I bought my 06' SSS, I have nothing to prove now, because I know what it can do! I think in the month and half that I've had it, I've only raced it once with a Daytona and won. Now I'm just a Sunday driver.

Anyone who's curious about what it's like to have a hot ride around Boston...there's your answer!
I've been more "chill" since my engine build too, but there's alot of testosterone around here that keeps you ready to go at all times. Around here you'll be just cruising along, windows down, minding your own and some ******** in a 5-series Bimmer will hear your exhaust and start cutting in front of you which is totally unacceptable.
Since my engine build, if I hit red-line it's someone else's fault!
