My front door speakers dry rotted. I replaced them all.

Check for continuity in the wiring between the speaker and the wiring that plugs into the head unit.

I had an issue like that with my factory stereo. It was from corrosion on the terminals to the speaker and the factory wireing harness going to the driver door speaker. It would go out all the time. I would bump the door with my foot wile driveing and it would come back on. I finally had enough of it and just installed an aftermarket system that I had in my old vehicle.
