anybody know if the door handles from an 05-06 will swap to my 01? the newer ones only have a key hole on the driver side and i found a set painted

 

Yes they do, I bought rear handles from a tahoe, so I now have no key holes.

 

were the tahoe handles a straight swap or did you have to modify anything?

 

I had to modify mine a lil because I used rear handles for the front. But if you get front handles its a direct swap

 

It is an easy swap. The only thing you may want to do is pull the bar that connects to the locking mechanism since it wont be being used anymore. I forgot to pull mine out of my old truck when i did the swap and it rubbed the cable that takes my window up and down and i had to replace it. Its easy to take out. It just clips in and out with a little plastic retainer clip.
