My sister in laws car, 2000 Oldsmobile Alero 2.4L. Pooping a p0442, looked under the hood noticed a leaky FPR. I know its an Evap system leak (small), and there are several other potential causes, but I noticed this right away.

9 times out of 10 if the code is a small evap leak it is a gas cap that no longer seals tightly on the neck from the gas tank. A leaky fpr to my knowledge should not set an evap code but will make one run rich or lean depending on if its leaking into the vacuum line or outside the housing. If no one chimes in by tomorrow night I can look on my dads scan tool tomorrow at work and tell you exactly what that code is and the troubleshooting procedures.
