Does anyone get tired of "Thats not Fair stock vs modded" argument?

Well I hear this all the time on other forums, the most recent one www.rumblebee.org BTW is a good site with lots of good people on them that dont flame up when someone with another brand comes on board. But the recent story. A 4x4 rumblebee stock against RCSB 5.3 4x4 with a throttle body spacer, exhaust, intake and programmer. He admitly loses by 2-3 lengths from a 20 roll. Well then some say well that not fair a stock Rumblebee against a modded chevy thats like comparing apples to oranges of course whos gonna win. I just say run what you brung! If you lose you need to mod more the next time you race him. I think people take losing in a race way to personally in this day in age. Like I posted over there a 4x4 hemi dynos 265ish rwhp, a modded Z71 255ish maybe 260 whats comparing apples to oranges, both truck are par on performance.

I say run what ya brung. If the guys talkin out his ***, then whether he's stock or not, who cares. But I wouldnt pit a stock truck against someone like parish and expect to come out on top. Its still apples to apples being both are trucks, both are v8s, RWD, auto's and 4x4s. Its not like we're comparing a Viper to a Silv SS.

I agree. Ive tryed to line up with anything that is quick since its cooled off. I used to love playin around with other cars in my vette when it was stock. I got WASTED by a guy in a firebird once. We stopped and chatted and had a blast talking shop. I was stock, but his car was BAD!! Racing and BSing is all about fun, some people need to be reminded of that.

I agree, run what you brung! If you're gonna make excuses if you lose, then don't race. That goes for the winner also in my book though. Don't be an *** if you win and trash talk, next time you may see taillights and won't want to hear **** from the other guy then. From my experience, the guys who whine about losing are the ones who do talk **** when they win.

I've had many guys agree to race without asking what I have had done to the truck. Then they git pissed because they got smoked by a big HD. I had one guy I thought I was going to have to fight he was very upset that I didn't tell him I had a 200hp shot.
