I was just using some rough calculations(hp calculator) and I used the weight of your truck 5k(i dont know if that is w/or w/out driver but it doesnt matter) and I used you et and mph. I came up with around 380 rwhp needed to see that number. Im sure you have done some suspension mods and everything but since you have no motor upgrades, converter, gears, wheels and tires, no programming, and no headers, I would like to know your secrect. Like i said, im not trying to dispute your numbers, but honestly i cant figure it out, like when i see other turbo and nitrous single cab ram trucks not running close to your numbers.

for the 12.44 run i was using mickey thompson et street tires that helped alot with the 125hp shot of nitrous ......now with the 150 and 175hp shot traction is not very good on these 26inch tall tires with over 600 pounds of tq at the wheels they are too short and i run out of gear too soon i'm hitting 4th gear (over drive) at 1100ft out on the track ......i'm working on a set of taller 16inch slicks because nothing is available in a true slick for a 17inch wheel.......16inch wheels wont fit my truck because of the big brake setup so to use the 16 inch wheels with the 16inch slicks i have to change my rear brakes to the old style which are from a 2001 ram truck to get them to fit......when i have this done i will run a bigger shot of nitrous and crush my old time it should be soon........

A guy up in Delaware running a big boost kit GSM with a rich tune just got into the 13s as well, he is working on his tune and hopes to get low 13s or 12s, we'll see.
Yeah Rob, we finally got most of the stuff figured out. My wiring harness looks like a rat's nest, but things are coming together nicely. Can't wait for someone to come out with a software tuning package. We talked among 5 total folks with the STS kit and slowly pieced together the puzzle. We even have the limp mode/computer shutdown addressed with a box I built from instructions found on the net. Gotta love the information age!
H777 has the ultimate low buck street/strip sleeper. Yes our new time cost 5x what he paid, but anyone driving ANY truck could do the same. NOS is the poor tuners dream come true. So why are there so many FI kits out and installed? Because we can!
Rock on, mod on, keep those times a droppin!

I wasnt questioning the nitrous runs as much as i was wondering about the n/a times. I took your dyno number of 510 and subtracted the full 175hp nitrous shot and got 335. That is around 70 rwhp more than other hemis are dynoing. Im just curious where that 70rwhp is coming from?

H777 isn't really creating that much more N/A HP than other Dodge owners, only being creative with what he has to work with. He removes almost all excess weight like spare tire, tailgate, etc. He also dis-connects the front sway bars for more traction, fab'd his own ram air tube, and other items that anyone can do ( or does ) on his/her truck. So his track times, from a calculation standpoint, equate to more HP than the rest of us lazies who want to bolt on power instead
He was a pioneer on getting the Dodge 5.7L into the 14's, then 13's, now 12's, and below when we had no other major power adders available. Now we have turbos and superchargers available, most of which actually work!

But it still weighs 5k which is what throws me off. Im sure a ram air tube adds some, as well as the TCM mod helps tq managment, but still, the 99mph is what im referring to which is not as related to those techniques that you are referring too, that requires horsepower. Once he has traction from all of those mods, he still has to have some power to pull a 5k lb truck to 99mph and it takes alot more that 260-280 rwhp to do that in a heavy truck.

last time i dynoed n/a was about a year ago and put down 311hp uncorrected......... 303hp and 338 pounds of tq corrected at the wheels this was right after i ran 13.71 in the 1/4 mile.......my motor mods where homemade true cold air, removed cat, and open exhause tmr mod........my 13.71 run was in 48 degree real nice weather and was able to get a 2.00 60ft time with the stock tires that helped alot.....race weight was only 4800 pounds when i ran the 13 second run that was with the tail gate on i have never run my truck without the tail gate on

back when i was running n/a my race weight was only 4800 pounds.......now with the nitrous extra mods 2 spare tires for traction and a tool box my race weight is alot more untill i get some taller real slicks then i can remove all that weight and run quicker also i will be able to run the 175hp shot ....my best so far 12.44 is with a 125hp shot when i tryed a bigger shot last time out traction was a problem

Cool, congrats on those #s man. Like i said i wasnt trying to start anything but you should be proud that people question your numbers, i guess it means you are doing something right! I guess all of the conditions were absolutely perfect for that run and the 48 degrees and 2.0 sixty show it. I still cant say honestly that im not confused with the numbers here though(But i have seen your vids i think). I know the hp calcs are not the bottom line, but w/that mph it shows you would need roughly 365 rwhp to get it there. I am very impressed to say the least though.
