The easiest way to tell is by cycling through the dashboard feature buttons on the right side of the gages. The top button will toggle you through mileage, average MPG, instant MPG, and other displays. The instant mileage display will change from V8 to V4 as you drive.
If you use a "Procharger" custom tune the DOD may be turned off. I spoke to Magnacharger techicians and they told me their tunes turn off DOD.
