i was wondering what would be the best cam for my 2000 gmc rcsb 4.8??? i want a pertty large cam. ?????? and how much would it be for the full job. cam, instal, tune, everything. total price?

 

your questions are bias. the best cam will not be a large cam. and nobody can give you an exact price on all the things you want because everybody charges differently. you also want to add a torque converter and install in your list and if you dont have headers and y pipe you will need those to. i would say over 2k for everything

 

Im gonna have to disagree with you. Although headers and stall, etc are great supporting mods they arent NECESSARY for a cam swap. For basic basic **** you're looking at around $400 for a cam. appox. $400 for a tune, pushrods about $100 and springs anywhere from I believe $80-$200. $80 being LS6 springs which are for "lower lift" and say like PAC 918s which will take quite a bit of lift are going to be more expensive.
