Looked at an '07 Silverado today. Same 2-wire plug as the one in the picture above. Looks like I need to get a newer alternator.

Oh...I must be a man of limited vision. Have you thoght BB too or just LS1...just a stray thought.

 

Actually I put an LC2/2004R ('87 Buick Grand National) in it first. The LS stuff was just a way to get it going for less money (yeah,right). By the time I get done I couldve built my LC2. Nonethess, I'm liking learning all the LS stuff and will probably build a turbo version for the car in the future.

One of my main reasons for doing the LC2 was because I just love Turbo Buicks and I hate seeing SBCs in every street rod at an event. Nothing wrong with BBCs but they've been done-to-death too.

 

Cool deal...not many 36 Chevies running around. People are LSing stuff more nowadays but you're right about the glut of SBC-ed oldies out there. Don't see much with Ford or Mopar power...Chevies are good and abundant.
