Ditching the 20's
#11
Going from my stock chrome 20" to 22" my 1/4 went from 13.69 to 13.97. Stock chroms SS wheels weigh in at 81 lbs each and the Eagle Alloy 026 22" weigh in at 90 lbs each, plust they put the wheel weight further from the axle. I think this combined to hurt my performance at the track plus I could feel the difference even with a SC. That's why I plan to run a set of NBS stock steel wheels at the track. I think they should weigh it at 68 lbs each
. Bling bling cost performance unless you go with a forged lighter rim setup but that cost a ton

Thanks guys so far for the vote of confidence, I really do like the way the 20's looked, but you figure it just doesnt make sense to go and spend around 1000.00 to knock off a few tenths and than go and throw some lead weights on it. I loved the truck how it looked when I bought it used with the 20's , but performance is now my priority. True there are some light ones out there, but I dont feel like dropping that kind of cash and not too mention the price difference in rubber, I payed 470.00 shipped for those 17" rims, and for me that was too much.

32lbs a piece, how much will it weight approximately with a 285/40/22 mounted?
