There are alot of good guys over there but, it's those 5% that are SO brand loyal/blinded that make me cringe after reading through a thread.

I'm going to see if Brains can block my view of any thread with a link to over there......without totally banning me.

The guys that have had rear tires snap off should get a class action suit going against DC. That is crap that they won't admit there is a problem. If they wait and someone gets killed they're gonna be in a world of hurt and deservedly so.

The 8.5 used to have a real problem spinning diff bearings. The aftermakret was even selling units that took a larger ID carrier bearing to keep it from spinning. It took GM from 1972 until 1999 to fix the problem. All the 99 and up trucks have a larger ID and OD bearing, so they dont have that problem anymore. The 8.5 parts are the best selling parts out there, but a lot of that has to do with how long it has been in production in cars and trucks. Also, when they switched to 30 spline axles in 89 that solved a few problems. It is a very solid unit, and the OEM parts are made by a very good manufacturer.
It seems like Dodge has been letting their QC slip when it comes to manufacturing materials and the 9.25 has been having problems lately. Before the last couple years it was a very solid axle with few problems, and we didnt sell a large volume of parts for them. It is kind of hard to judge though compared to the amount of 8.5 and 8.8 diffs there are out there compared to 9.25 Dodge. I can say that a 8.5-373 out sells a 9.25-355 by about 6-1.
