Walbros are pretty good, or AC delco if you want a stock one.

You might have to crimp a connector or two...

If you are looking at the complete bucket w/pump, yes it is $$$....Just the walbro 255 is sometimes less than $100...Maybe just a bit more with the sock and wiring pigtail....

If the Wallbro folks that mfg the fuel pumps also make small engine carburetors, I'd think I'd pay more for a more well known/more well known reputable brand.

There over all quality and mfg workmanship seems to be deteriorating significantly. Examples, poor fitting gaskets, CNC machined machined critical features, positional locations slightly miss-located and poor deburring.
This is typical of lax quality over seas, (random 1st article demonstrating compliance to original design, ie; parts produced are in tolerance) of CNC calibration, jig wear, corrupt machine programs, operator in attention, lack of QC random inspections to ensure both mfg. instructions are be followed and parts are being processed to specifications)

I see quite a few of these doing small engine repair as a hobby that pays.

My advice is you get what you pay for.

My personal choice would't be Wallbro.

If you want a walbro, just make sure to get it from a reputable source. It's way too easy to end up with a knock off walbro lately.. I would personally recommend an oem pump. I would also make sure that's what the actual problem is first and not just throw a fuel pump at it.
