Dash board modification

Default Dash board modification

Will the center console off a 2004 Chevy line up on a 2006 GMC, i don;t think the dash has changed but i dunno. If it does lets talk.

The center console will fit, but you will need to get the glovebox assembly from a truck with a factory console as well.

I've been told that you can cut yours and it'll be fine.... the only difference is that if you have a truck without the center console from the factory the lower dash panel on the passenger side goes all the way accross the center, the trucks with captain chairs do not.

also note that a truck with full center console has flip out arm rests in the seats, a truck with a flip down console does not. The full center console sits considerably lower than the flip down console... you'll lose your arm rest

This is the case with the 99-02s as well. Even though the console is slightly lower than the jumpseat that it replaces, its still high enough to use as an armrest. At first it was a change, but now I don't even notice being lower.

yeah, but I'm tall so it's even lower for me...
I barely sit comfortable in a regular cab, that's why I have an extended cab.

On a serious note: I just wanted to make sure that he was aware of the differences, after riding in my budies '06 I think the console is way to low, but that's a judgement call
