I've removed mine so much it just pops off lol, you have to get that little C-clip up on both sides and it will slide right off, its a pain untill you know how to do it.

i just unscrewed the plastic bolt and then like v8 said there are 2 clips on a bracket that are a pain to get off and very easy to break. just take your time.
