fog lights

Default fog lights

does the fog light button on a 04 silverado default to being off. cuz every time my lights are on per key cycle, i have to manually push the fog light button for them to be on.

yes, it sounds like it's operating correctly, my '06 is the same way.

Same way on the '02s, but that's GM for ya - always making the wiring more complicated than it has to be.

You can change that by grounding the wire that comes from the fog light switch so they turn on with your headlights everytime. I'm not too sure about which wire that is on the 03+, but you can find out by probing the switch with a dmm and seeing which wire controls the fog lights.

oh is that switch just grounding? ill check the wiring diagram at work tomorrow

YEAH I WORK FOR GM..... THEY DEFINITELY DESIGNED IT THAT WAY. MY 06 DOES THE SAME.... THEY MADE IT THAT WAY SO PEOPLE WOULDNT FORGET THEY WERE ON. SEEMS POINTLESS BUT TRUST ME ALOT OF PEOPLE DONT USE THEIRS ALL THE TIME....

I THINK MINE ARE BRIGHTER THAN MY HEADLIGHTS
