Default Crimson Red RCSB

So.... I'm picking up my first RCSB in a couple weeks (I've been wanting one for years).

https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...-4-8-a-536157/

So far the plans are 2/4 drop with spindles, I just picked up a set of polished Silverado SS wheels but they have 275/55 Terra Grapplers on them. I'd like to sell them and buy some 275/45s. I'll probably just order some smoked headlights and fogs. Looking for opinions of accent painting. I was thinking of painting the wheels, bumper and grill black. Roll pan and spoiler color matched. Thoughts?

As for the motor (4.8), I don't plan on doing much internally. I honestly just want to swap an 80e in and turbo it. I currently have an LY6 (gen 4 6.0 with an LS3 top end) in the machine shop for my Trans Am. I picked up another gen 3 lq4 short block and a set of gen 4 LY6 pistons and rods. Eventually, I'd like to swap that into the truck.

Anyone else ever modded a Crimson Red RCSB? It seems to be a fairly rare color and I can't find anything searching. It's hard to gauge how it will look with black accents because I've never seen one in anything other than stock form. Thanks in advance!

I think color matched rear bumper, mirror caps, and grill, 4/6 drop, 22" Tahoe LTZ replicas in painted silver would look **** on that color.

I can't go that low. haha. I want to drive this thing everywhere. I already have the SSS wheels so I'll probably toss them on and see how they look. Color matched grill and front bumper sounds good though.

Mine is not Crimson red, but agree with above. I think that color has lots of potential to look real nice

Not a regular cab or lowered but I believe it's the same color even though it's an 01. Has color matched door handles, painted mirror caps, and a painted upper bumper cap to give you a better Idea https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...01-z71-528057/

I'd stay away from smoked headlights, they never really look good in my opinion on anything that isn't black.

As for color matching, I completely agree. That is a beautiful color, the pictures don't do it justice.

Beautiful truck in general

Yeah- I've got a hair up there to color match my rear bumper. Don't know where it sits on the timeline right now. I'm a sucker for this color............

Understood. I'm not much of a fan of chrome. My original intention was to have the bumpers, wheels, grill, headlights and taillights black. You guys are making me really want to at least try the color matching and leaving the SSS wheels polished. The windows are going to be limo. Every vehicle I own is like that haha.
