Default Coolant brand

Is one brand coolant any better than the other or are they all about the same? What do you use?

the new prestone mixes with anything. theres only 4 manufacturers of coolant anymore. i work for an autoparts store with the clover and i was told by the rep that havoline and prestone make the house brand crap.

i use the green stuff don't know the name. DON'T use orange it leaves weird sludge inside your engine and cooling system. Sadly that's what GM uses or atleast used to use just cuz it lasts up to 150,000 miles. So if you haven't drained your orange fluid out i suggest you do it as soon as possible. And flush out your system and everything. Then fill up with yellow or green. I think Prestone is Yellow?!?! that's what i use.

If your running the Gen III vortec engines you must run the orange dex-cool if you run the yellow or green coolant you engine will over heat.

you cant run the regular green, but you can run the neon green stuff. the neon green is the new all makes all models, i have been running it since january. if it says all makes all models you can use it, and if anything happens you can sue prestone.

Sounds like nothing special between brands, probably will use prestone though since thats what gm recommends, I just need to top it off anyways.
