Default Concept Camaro

January 2006

Muscle: That's the first word that comes to mind upon seeing Chevy's concept Camaro. Big-time muscle. Enough to possibly make Arnold think about switching allegiances within the GM family. Build it and they will come; drop the 500-plus-bhp Corvette Z06 engine into a Z28 version and name your price.

Andrew Bornhop, Editor, R&T Specials, provides the insightful commentary to the accompanying video. Among the numerous bits of info, Bornhop reports that the new Camaro could launch as a 2009 model. AARRGGHH! We can't wait that long! Mr. Lutz: Commit to a 2008 model launch and watch the buyers line up.

Look for a full report from Detroit Editor Matt DeLorenzo in the March 2006 issue of Road & Track.

Nice to see the ponycar wars heating up again. Wondered how long Chevy and Dodge would let the new Mustang soak up sales

The front end looks a lot like one on my old man's '70 Cadillac Edorado.

Wow, that is sex on wheels. If GM promises to build it, I'll stop thinking about trading the truck on a new Challenger.

You know if GM ever decieds to starting making the Camaro again, it will never look like the concept version. I never understood why they show off the concept and never build it to look like it.
