Alright guys just to play it safe I bought a mother board at FRY's about 30 minutes ago. Its a ASUS PSP800 socket 775 (Intel 865PE+ Intel ICH5, Dual-Channel DDR400, AGP8X, ASUS Hyper Path, AI Audio, AI NET2, AI NOS CPU Lock Free). Is this a good motherboard? Also nextI'm going to get the CPU, heatsink, and fan. What are the specs of the CPU that will work with this motherboard or will any pentium 4 cpu work with this?

That's nice. What CPU did it come with, or did you just buy the mobo by itself? Build it!!!

It is just the motherboard. What cpu will work with this or will any pentium 4 cpu work? Also I just got home and realized that I don't have any screws that hold the motherboard to the inside of the computer case, is there special screws I need or do I just need to go back to FRYs and ask for screws that hold the motherbaord up?

Dude, I would buy the mobo and CPU together because I think it comes out cheaper in the end. You will have to buy a CPU that fits on your mobo(775 socket, etc.) and for RAM you will need to get DDR400 dual channel.
The case should've come with screws, that's weird. Just use screws off your old computer

Gotta make sure your MOBO supports HyperThreading too if you want that chip!!! The ABIT IC7 is a good board but on the other hand so is the ASUS. Like others have said, dont skimp on a video card. Or memory!!!!! Im running a gig of dual channel PQI Turbo at 2-2-2-5 and it screams, best $250 bucks Ive spent in a while. Thats pretty screwy that the case didnt come with risers or screws. Make em give you a new case!!!!!!!!!

That chip doesnt come with the OEM cooler. So you gotta drop $20-50 for a cooler too.

Well, I found a small box of screws and such hiding in the back corner of the case which I didn't see. Well after about 30 min of trial and error I finally got the motherboard in and mounted. Right now I'm trying to connect all of the wires and such that the motherboard came with. Seeing how I'm somewhat computer illiterate when it comes to this detailed, it may take me while to get all the connection hooked up in the right place. I'll post pics later tonight so you guys can make sure I hooked everything up right. Thanks for all the help guys!

Your motherboard comes with a manual stating how to hook that stuff up - double check it. That's really the only way you know you have right -IMO

Yeah, that's a fast one alright. That's a $280 cpu up for bid. If you could get it cheap. . . . . sweet.
