Hmmm, well yeah there is one on a local craigslist for sale, but in the description it says they are selling it because it does NOT fit his '05 Silverado bed...?

So that's discouraging. Wonder if you really do need the full pro tec bed to use the tailgate?

Also, anyone know off hand if the pro tec bed has stake pockets?

I bought this composite bed for my 06 GMC Sierra 2500, the tailgate has CHEVROLET raised letters on it, I just bought a gmc tailgate to swap it out with-but it does not exactly line up so it does not fit and is off by about an inch. Do you know if there are any tailgates for the composite bed without and letters on it? I don’t want to have to buy a new bed for the truck if I don’t have to
