You are comparing your old truck against a new truck.If you were to drive a new VHO then I would feel we would get an honest current evaluation from you.

A couple people here made it sound like the 6.0HO 2x4 is availible in cali.

 

I like the thought of a VHO truck, just not in an Ext Cab. That's one of the reasons I bought the Dodge, it has a bigger back seat and four real doors. I got tired of the suicide doors where I had to open mine to let someone in or out of the back seat. I don't like the new F150 so I drove and bought the Dodge, I really like it. Now, if I could get the 6.0L LQ9 in the Silverado 1500 Crew Cab, I may be persuaded to come back to the GM home.

I would like to drive or race an SS or VHO that has my mods, just intake and exhaust. It would be fun to see what the outcome would be! I never ran my truck stock, my best at the track is 15.24 @ 88.22 mph with just the above mentioned mods. I'm pretty sure both the SS and VHO would run better than that but it would be fun to see if I would get beat and by how much. If I did, I wouldn't care! I didn't by the Dodge because I thought it was the fastest truck made, I had other reasons, the doors being one of them
