There's a remote start deal on ebay for 99-02 trucks that plugs into your factory alarm system I don't have remote start I just use my spare key and lock and unlock doors with the key fob

Either go out and start it 10 minutes before you leave or get a remote start installed.

No brainier if you are not wanting to spend money on anything to just let it idle for a few before taking off.

At 50 MPH for 8 minutes, the engine should be able to come up to normal operating temperature. My house is about 5 minutes from the shop and it is at 200* well before the I get here in 40* weather. E-fans do help to bring the temp up quicker vs. a fan clutch. What style of fan do you have? What are the engine temps

Driving 45mph for 10 mins, then 65 for another 15 minutes and my truck is just now blowing warm/hot air into the cab, the gauge will be under 180 that entire time.

With the weather getting really cold here and even snowing, I can see how a fan clutch may not let the truck come up to temp in that amount of time. Best thing to do is to just lock the truck with only the key in the ignition. Lock doors with key fob and let it idle for 5 - 10 minutes.

This is what I do. I used to have remote start on it until I washed the remote about 3 times
