The Airaid Jr is the modular intake tube plus a high-flow element. I think it's great, especially for the money.

The only TRUE CAI's are ones where the filter is outside the engine compartment. That is what a "box" type CAI has an advantage from where it pulls the air over an 'open" CAI which is the most popular.

I know that. A CAI seemed to be pointless given the regular 115+ temps we see here. I just didn't see a lot of gains coming from a new filter location, especially when the CAI kits cost double my Airaid Jr.

I also installed the scoop which fits behind the tow hook.

I recognize that black bolt on your underdrive pulley. Did you install a powerbond 25% on it? BTW, that's a clean looking set up you've got.

That is a factory setup... Never changed the pulleys... It is an 05 and first year for the L33 aluminum block and came with the E-fans as well. I installed a new aluminum tank radiator as well really helps keep it cool in AZ.

Do you have any doubt about that fitting an '11 5.3 Silvy? I know that you have an '11 6.2 and I'm pretty sure that the intake systems are the same. Airaid's site only lists as new as 2010. Again, I don't think that there are any changes with the MAF or intake system. I just want to make sure before placing an order.

TIA

(BTW, it will be tuned as soon as I get the break-in oil out of it)

I tuned mine BEFORE my first oil change, LOL. And yeah, the kit I got fits all NNBS trucks and SUVs as far as I know. Definitely fits all GMT900 1500 V8 Silverados and Sierras.
