Default Check Your Valve Stem's

Just spent over $100 replacing the valve stem's and did high speed balancing. I washed my truck and noticed that the valve stems had crack's on them like dry rot. They might be a year old but all four were like that. maybe a cheap or bad batch.I would hate to see what happends when you lose one at 80+mph.

there's a metal tube that runs inside it and ends on the inside of the rim, where it won't rot from the elements. You may need need to see what a valve stem looks like after it's been removed to understand, what you are seeing is just cosmetic

Uhhh...... high speed balancing??????? Sorry, never heard of it. There is no need for that even if it was available. Once a tire/ wheel is balanced, its balanced. That's that.
$100 for replacing just valve stems and a balance. You got ripped. Where did you go anyways that did all of this?

Hunter Engineering which makes a Road Force machine called the GSP9700. Last time I checked it was around 10-12K.
It makes a ton of difference in ride quality.

The market is now pushing nitrogen tire refill stations.
One day it may take $200 to balance and fill a set of inflatable tires.
Balance a set of tires with oz. and then grams and see which rides better

Yah, you got kinda ripped off. Go to discount. Do you mean road force balance? Valve stems are easy to replace.

The ounce vs gram weight was not road force specific, it's been offered for decades.
For most shops, it takes too much time and not worth the headache.
The grams make it much harder to balance but you can tell the difference at higher speeds.
Most shops don't charge any more for the road force as it decreases comebacks and customers are more likely to return.
