Default check this out!

well today on the way home I was going around 60mph and turned on the tow/haul to see where it would shift out of 2nd at, well 75mph and 6krpms is where it did it at.

Ok the reason i posed this is on friday I ran my last two passes without tow/haul and one with tow/haul here is the break down.

60'-1.73------------------1.74
330'-5.06-----------------5.06
1/8-7.89@86.28----------7.90@86.05
1000'-10.38---------------10.40
1/4-12.51@105.52--------12.53@105.10

this one=1-2,6800 2-3,6800 and this one 1-2,6800 2-3,6000

ok on the first one i shift out at the 590' mark and on the second one i shifted out at the 330' mark, looks like i need to work on the shift points.

what do you guys think??

You should set your shift points at for example, 6300 and then, set the tow-haul points to 6800... Go to the track, and get a comparison.

Two 63s
vs
Two 68s

Might be interesting... What already is interesting is the early 2-3 shift didn't kill your MPH... Probably a good sign if you are looking to move them sooner.

Let us know what happens.

yeah its just interesting that a 6800 shift and a 6000 shift run about the same times in the 1/8th and about the same time over all, I will go see allen and get him to the track with me too test this out.

yeah storm5.3 was watching when i used the tow/haul button and he was like man you shifted way soon lol then i showed him the ticket and his face was pricless ahhaa.

what gear set do you have? im thinking that even that cam is advertised to make power way up there in the power band (like my cam)... that it doesnt if you have something like 4.10's. I know when i was at the track.. i was shifting out at 6700 1-2 and 6700 2-3.. and having it spin that high it felt like the truck was begging to shift at around 6200 or so, lol. I dont think theres a lot of power left up there in the high rpms with such a little gear ratio.,.. but thats for me im speaking of... i wasnt sure what gears you had
