Default Changing plugs and wires

01 ecsb 5.3 sierra w/ 130,000 miles on original plugs/wires. Truck runs good and still has the same mpg as when I got it, just seems to sumble a lil at idle sometimes. Looking for advice on plugs and wires, was thinking of going back w/ AC Delco.
thanks

NGK TR55's are a popular stock replacement. Stock plug wires. Napa sells good stock replacement wires as well.

+1 for TR55's. Just changed mine a week ago; it seems to go into idle much faster after startup and runs a little smoother. Gapped them at .055. I have 80k on my truck. Also changed the wires too, but just got an OEM set with 25k from a friend who replaced his with MSD wires.

our trucks have great stock wires and plugs. i tried changing wires once. i went back to stock. why mess with a good thing.

stock plugs are pricey though. are the TR-55's cheaper? if so, go for them.

I put on TR55's and MSD wires when I bought my truck as part of my base-lining its maintenance. The plugs were like $20 from the local autoparts store, and the wires were $60(?).

Many say MSD's are a waste, and they really are probably overkill, but they do spec out with less resistance than the stockers by a decent enough factor. Will that really make a difference when the wire is a whole 8"-10"? No, not really, but whatever. $60 aint much in the grand scheme of things.

I got my TR55 from that Irish-named car parts store for about $13. Best price I've found.

There were times when I had a stumble too with my old plugs and wires, seems to have gone away with the new ones. AC Delco plugs and MSD wires

I bought these 8.5mm plug wires cause they look nicer than stock and probably perform a little better since they are thicker. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWN:IT&ih=010
