caution: fuel line

Default caution: fuel line

i recently did the walbro swap with a friend, but the supplied hose was too short, so we rode to the auto parts store to get a longer piece...

i have never put fuel line on an injected setup before, always carbuerated...so i wasnt aware that i needed high pressure fuel line. i should have known that, but i was sort of rushing to get it finished... wasnt thinking

anyway, it blew the hose out inside the tank yesterday (after 4 days), so i got to drop it by myself and change it back out with the correct fuel injection hose.... it had a half tank of gas in it what a heavy bitch!

i thought it was a tough job with 2 people before, it really sucks by yourself.


lesson learned.

yupp found out years ago with the subject FI hose is only way to go. also make sure to use FI hose clamps. dont use normal hose clamps

Oh sh*t, I used the Walbro supplied clamps. Are they the FI type?
