Default Catchcan

Well I've been a around here for awhile so I thought i would post up. Read a post about a homemade catchcan so I thought i would try it for myself. Here are some pics of it. Total cost ~30 bucks at Lowe's.

I am going to have to try this, I am curious to find out how much stuff will end up in the catch can. The qestion that I have is from where to where to you hook it up. I dont have forced induction, so that would make things a little bit different. Can you post some pics from where it exactly goes.

I'll post some pics tomorrow of where it goes. But it is pretty simplistic once you pull it off. I want to see how much oil is going into my intake and ill grab a pic of that at the end of the week.

That's been my big question, but I haven't been in a terrible hurry. I'm about to hit the 40k mile mark though, so I might as well go ahead and do this now. It'll help out my motor either way.

here is the original POST on this i just did it like 3 weeks ago. i dont get to much oil in there. i got my can for 11.99 at home depot, the to brass fitting were 1.25 each and the hose was 1.98 for 2 ft. i didn't get any clamps because i had to heat up the hose just to get it onto the fitting so i figured it would be fine.

11.99
1.25
1.25
1.98

16.47 + tax

What happens with the oil after it is caught in the can though? Do you just disconnect the can and empty it?

Some people get a lot, and some don't get much at all. I get about a tbsp per oil change in my AMW catch can.

Is that a water trap for a air compressor output?
