Default Cat removal

On my 03 chevy truck with the 4.8, I am doing some exhaust work, and was wanting to know if I remove the cats will I get an 02 dtc or will it be ok?

Your not getting replies because this question has been asked maybe 300 times. In short, yes you will throw a DTC. Try the search function to see what people have done to remediate the codes and still have the desired exhaust configuration. There are a couple of options.

Thank you very much I'll search a little harder, the first time I searched I got some stuff about headers and highflow cats. Then I got destacted!

you wil get a code from the rear O2 sensors. They can be tuned out with software or sims but the sims are hard to find.

true. Easier to turn them off. Read some of the header threads.
