Default Can a manual climate control be swapped out for a digital climate control?

I'm wanting to replace this:

With this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevy...Q5fAccessories

In my 05 sierra. Will this work?

I think for it to work you need to have the BCM flashed by the dealer and install temperature sensors. There may be more than that though, im not sure.

No, not an easy task. I remember reading a detailed thread about it somewhere (here or on gmfs) but couldn't find it. You have to install temp sensors in the vents and the computer needs to be reprogrammed, and there was some other stuff as well, I forget. But I remember thinking that it was way more trouble and money than it was worth.

way more trouble than its worth. You would be better off swapping trucks for one with the digital climate control. Unless you bought a complete donor vehicle and swapped wire harness bcm dash harnesses etc etc/ At least thats what I have read.
