whats funny is b4 my cam and head work I was getting 15.5 mpg... after heads and cam 23.9 made it from cali to arkansas on 3 tanks of gas...

 

Damn another good reason for the 6.0 swap..

 

With the Stock LQ4/80E 3.42s 29" tires, STS, i recently got 27mpg... but i have to double check my speedometer with GPS to make sure its dead on to actually claim that. Its all small highway from Crystal Springs to Magee and i did the speed limit, 55mph. IDC never went over 8% , AFR- 15.5.

I went to meet Lilreddevil Saturday, I decided to fill up before i left to check my mileage. Got 18.2mpg on that half tank. Went and got some tires and stuff from Randy. When i got back i filled up at the same gas station and same pump.

92.4miles on 3.4gallons

I always fill it up as much as possible. Its always stayed consistent around town, 18. Sometimes it varries .3 give or take.

I plan on making that trip a few more times just to play with my tuning. Im still on Stock timing and 93octane.
I just put in a modified Thermostat with the BB mod, it runs at 165*, so im goin to see if that hurts or helps.

 

well neither will I, ha. I have to drive around the city a little tonight, ill watch the milage and then fill up, to see what its getting around town.

 

Either way i feel if you get anything close to 20+ in a Hoe your doing something right!

Just like at the track.. i like to make atleast 3 passes to get a good idea.
And a full tank is murder To fill up that is.

 

holy crap, my truck weighs around 5600 when i DD it and it only gets like 14.5 mixed driving. it's a 6.0l 3.73 gears TR 220 cam and a yank pt3200

 

Yeah I'm lucky if I see anything over 13, city or highway. I don't know how the hell you guys are getting these high numbers.
