turbo i really like how thats done..the way i want mine a 6 piont cage..but i was to keep the back bars in the cab..like go down beside the rear seat

Exactly what I was thinking -- kind of like a dragster cage, but big enough for the whole cab.

I've got an idea in mind -- if I get some time, I chop a pic and draw in the cage.

The big hang up seems like the space available though. Seems like a lot of interior surgery would be required.

Any idea on an estimated weight addition with a cage?

I would say for a good cage made out of strong, not so heavy metal probably 150 pounds. (No clue really just a guess) and I'll be the guinea pig I just need the $$$$

I doubt it would be 150 lbs. I remember when I got the roll cage (10 point) in for the Mustang and there was no way everything was that heavy...

I worked at a "relaxed" track last year and my boss (track manager) let someone run as low as 11.30 before he was told to have a cage. I personally would have told him to get a cage or slow down due to liabity if something were to happen and it was a Honda. Much lower than that people were told to slow down or leave.

Here's some ideas of caged regular cabs. They aren't 99-06 full size trucks, but you get the idea.

And more information on rollbars:

question: does the cage need to come out to the bed?? or can it be like slowprocess's that is just inside the cab??? I would like to keep it just inside the cab..?
The down bars coming from the top of the hoop have to be at a certain angle. Slowprocess's rollbar isn't NHRA legal. I wish we could get away with doing a 10 point-style cage inside the cab.

And the rules....

When do I need a roll bar or roll cage, and what should it look like?
A roll bar is required in any convertible running 13.99 seconds or quicker in the quarter mile, and in other cars beginning at 11.99. The roll bar is accepted in vehicles running as quick as 10.00 second e.t., provided the stock firewall and floorboard is intact, other than for installation of wheel tubs. The rollbar must be constructed of minimum 1 ¾ inch o.d. x .118 inch wall mild steel tubing, or 1 ¾ x .083 chrome moly tubing, and must conform to the following diagram:

If the floor and/or firewall has been modified, then a full roll cage is required beginning at a 10.99 e.t. A full roll cage is required in any vehicle running 9.99 seconds or quicker, and any vehicle running 135 mph or faster (regardless of e.t.). The roll cage must be constructed of minimum 1 5/8 o.d.x .118 mild steel tubing, or 1 5/8 x .083 chrome moly tubing, and must conform to the following diagram:
